Moulin-a-Vent is arguably the most noteworthy of the ten Beaujolais crus, located in the very north of the Beaujolais region. Made from Gamay planted between the Beaujolais slope and the Maconnair slope on red grantic soils which gives the wine its mineral character. Ruby red in colour with notes of blackberries and blueberries on the nose. The palate is round and generous with bramble fruits, a flinty mineral note and well integrated tannins.
