The 2016 vintage saw many similarities to 2015. The growing season began with cool, wet weather. The flowering was generally good, but cooler temperatures reduced yields. In July, the weather turned hot and dry, with one rainfall mid-August relieving the stress of the vines. The wines are more aromatic than 2015. Ruby red colour and silky-smooth texture. Deep juicy fruit flavours with notes of sour cherry, plums, leather and tobacco.
