Named after oenologist Emilie Desmeure, this wonderfully complex Hermitage is made from 40 year old Syrah vines grown on granite soils on the south facing slope of Hermitage. Dark ruby in colour with a pronounced nose of truffles and violets. The palate is concentrated with notes of blackberries, smoke, cloves, earth, tobacco, truffles, pepper and a mineral character. Fresh acidity adds finesse to this long and comlpex wine.
