This is a light-bodied semi-sparkling red wine. Don’t be surprised, it is supposed to be this way! The nose is very fruity with hints of soft cherry, blackberry and raspberry and then clove on the aftertaste. The texture is fascinating with the small pettilance (bubbles) coming through the wine when it’s first opened. Best enjoyed just out of the fridge slightly chilled – this wine is perfect for an aperitif and with appetisers!
