Biodynamic wine, Xarel-lo, savoury flavours, mineral and complex, ripe peachy fruit, a note of mango! The wine takes its name after a fox called Miranius that is enticed into the vineyard by the smell of the sweet fruit. It's a young wine that is very vibrant and ages well in the bottle. The current vintage shows freshness but also complexity. Xarel Lo (the Cava grape) is a grape that expresses its terroir and the fermentation being itself quite neutral in character. In this wine that comes through beautifully, it is a unique wine, interesting and satisfying and also great value for money.
Cellar Credo is an estate that is guided by the desire to work in harmony with nature, and the desire to make terroir driven wines without chemical fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides – wines that speak plainly of their origin. They grow mainly Xarel-Lo, a local variety which is a perfect vehicle for terroir. The vines are surrounded by fennel, wild radish, yellow fleabane, as well as insects and animals that each contribute in their own small way to an ecosystem which lends its own balance and character to the grape. All of their vineyards have been cultivated in accordance with the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture. Plants are allowed to grow spontaneously between the vines, loosening the soil, regulating water retention and drainage, and helping to foster biodiversity and maintain a balance in the vineyard's ecosystem.
