Single vineyard Premier Cru Burgundy, it really doesn’t get much better! Les Hervelets is a small vineyard parcel with 70 year old vines right up at the top of the hill (350m elevation). The wine, having had time to develop is red garnet in colour and has an intense nose of black fruit with some floral notes of roses and violets. The very pleasant mouthfeel is both generous and firm, atypical for a Burgundy Premier Cru.
12 months in new French oak barrels provided for the structure of soft and silky tannins, balanced by good acidity also known as “tension”. A refined minerality extends its full volume to a very long finish. This is an example and perfect expression of top quality Burgundy hillside terroir. 150 bottles produced, very limited stocks.
Grape Variety: Pinot Noir
