Domaine du Traginer, Collioure (rouge), 6 Bottle Case 75cl

Equal parts Grenache, Carignan, Mourvedre and Syrah from the steep schist terraces of Banyuls-sur-Mer, this is a pure and concentrated expression of this dramatic coastal stretch of the Roussillon. Dark black red color. Lush aromas of blackberry, black plum, bitter chocolate, licorice, earth and brown spice.  The palate is dense, ripe and supple with blackberry, strawberry compote, earth, licorice, ginger and spice, with cool citrus and red currant in the long finish. This is a beautiful Collioure that will accompany a steak, grilled meats, stews, grilled vegetables and tagines. Highly recommended.
Driven by passion, tradition and quality, Jean Francois Deu has been growing vines since 1975 at Domaine du Traginer. The vineyard is made up of narrow terraces that benefit from an exceptional climate and exposure, sandwiched between the sea and the mountain. Much of the vineyard is ploughed by a mule guided by its “traginer”, which means a mule driver in Catalan. Literally diving in the Mediterranean, the Côte Vermeille is probably amongst the most spectacular regions of France.

A few must haves
