Deep purple- instantly revealing an increasingly fruity nose, intense aromas of blackberries, blueberries and subtle undertones of freshly ground coffee.

First sip, the palate screams for more. Pure, fruity grape juice with unbelievable drinking pleasure. Interesting, slightly smoky, with notes of blackberry, plum, cranberries, spices and underpinned with subtle woody notes.

Based in the village of Scherwiller, halfway between Strasbourg and Colmar, Domaine Achillée was not named so due to their weak ankles. Achillée is the name for yarrow, a very important plant used in biodynamic farming and one that grows abundantly on the Dietrich family’s vineyards. Their winery is rumoured to be the largest building made of straw in Europe.
