Rocamadre is winemaker Juanfa Suaréz’ pet project exploring the unique character of Paraje Altamira and challenging preconceptions of Argentine wine. This avant-garde appellation - described by Tim Atkin MW as the Uco Valley’s “equivalent of a Grand Cru”- is noted for its unique and varied terroir as well as its collection of small estates in the hands of families who have been farming here for generations, such as Finca Suaréz itself, which Juanfa’s grandfather founded in the 1920s.
