The Brimoncourt the extra brut cuvée is the result of a rigorous selection of the best grapes from outstanding years. All the grapes are Grand Cru from just six sites in the villages of Champagne. The wine spends four months maturing in the cellar before release and has just 2g of dosage added to the second (sparkling) fermentation in the bottle. That provides the purest expression of the juice and the naked brilliance of this wine. With its outstanding freshness, this wine is excellent for an aperitif or with delicate and creamy food.
The extra brut Champagne is a rich, ripe and precise wine; it has a fine and intense nose of citrus fruits and white fruits like Asian pear. The mouthfeel is full-on; the aromas of citrus fruits harmonise perfectly with the minerality of the wine. The flavours go on and on – it has a super-long, lingering finish with hints of menthol and eucalyptus.
Grape Variety: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir.
