From the pioneers of a more elegant style of Malbec, the 'Appellation Gualtallary' is made from fruit sourced from vineyards with loamy soils at 1300 metres above sea level, producing a complex wine with a long finish and great ageing potential.
This wine is violet red in colour, with dark reflections. On the nose, there are notes of stewed plum and cherries, followed by layers of spice and herbs. The fruit is concentrated, intensifying through the mid-palate to the finish. The firm-grained tannins and calcareous soils build a firm but balanced structure on the palate, with elegant minerality and a long finish.
