“Mid to deep crimson. Rather a sweet nose that appeals a little less to me than Satta's Sangiovese-dominated wines. But on the palate there's a lovely counterbalancing tang. There is real energy here – this is a wine that cries out for food. I'm won over – especially by the nervy balance of fruit, acid and tannin on the palate. With its sweetness, it could be just the thing for our Chinese takeaway tonight.”
