Aphelion winemaker Rob Mack was Australia’s Young Gun of Wine in 2018. He and his wife Louise created Aphelion only a few years ago, the name derived from the Ancient Greek meaning “from the sun to you” – apt for the sun-soaked conditions in South Australia’s McLaren Vale. They source grapes from quality growers in Blewitt Springs and White Valley including some of the region’s oldest Grenache vines.
Full-bodied and fruity Australian red with notes of cherries, plums and black pepper on the palate.
