This is a red Burgundy made from Gamay, NOT the more known Pinot Noir. Gamay has thicker skins and makes wines that with a touch more weight that are fleshier and textured. The wine is a mid-toned, medium body wine with a light ruby colour. It is a fresh, natural and modern style of Burgundy; with flavours of light cherry, blackberry and crunchy red berries it is complemented by a naturally rustic undertone of earthiness. Fantastic on its own or with food: serve a glass with pasta, cured meats and herby dishes.
